Tail winds through pine forest and meadows. There are several views of the San Diego area and can see to the Pacific Ocean on a clear day. The trail connects with Big Laguna Trail and overlaps for a short section.
Trailhead is along Sunrise Hwy a few miles outside of Mount Laguna.
